Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in towering columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
