The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
