Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extending columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
