The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
