Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
