The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
