The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah). Sent down in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
