The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extending columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
