The Elephant (Al-Feel)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon) before Daybreak (Al-Falaq)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah]. 1 Did He not bring their plan to naught? 2 Thus, He let loose upon them great swarms of flying creatures 3 which smote them with stone-hard blows of chastisement pre-ordained, 4 and made them like straw eaten up (by cattle). 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
