O People who Believe! Do not devour usury doubling and quadrupling it; and fear Allah, hoping that you achieve success. 130 guard yourself against the Fire prepared for those who deny the truth, 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with each other in hastening to obtain forgiveness from your Lord and toward the Garden whereof the width equalleth the heavens and the earth, gotten ready for the God-fearing 133 Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others). 134 and who, when they have committed a shameful deed or have [otherwise] sinned against themselves, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven - for who but God could forgive sins? - and do not knowingly persist in doing whatever [wrong] they may have done. 135 For such, the reward is Forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath (Paradise), wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is this reward for the doers (who do righteous deeds according to Allah's Orders). 136 There have been many dispensations before you; so travel in the land and see what befell those who denied the truth. 137 This is a plain exposition for men, and a guidance and admonition for the Godfearing. 138 So do not lose heart or be grieved, for you will surely prevail if you are believers. 139 If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong. 140 and that God might render pure of all dross those who have attained to faith, and bring to nought those who deny the truth. 141 Do you think that you will enter the garden while Allah has not yet known those who strive hard from among you, and (He has not) known the patient. 142 You had wished to know death before you faced it (in battle); so now you have seen it before your own eyes. 143
