Believers, do not devour usury multiplied many times over. Fear God, so that you may prosper, 130 and beware of the fire which awaits those who deny the truth! 131 And obey Allah and the messenger, that ye may find mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to the for-giveness of your Lord and to a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the God-fearing. 133 Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good; 134 These are the ones who, when they commit any indecency and wrong against themselves, instantly remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - for who will forgive sins save Allah? - and who do not wilfully persist in the wrong they did. 135 Those, their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens underneath which rivers flow, where they shall live for ever. How excellent is the wage of those who labor. 136 Dispensations have gone forth before you; go about then on the earth, and behold what wise hath been the end of the beliers! 137 This is a clear declaration for mankind, and a guidance and a warning for those who preserve themselves from evil. 138 So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 and makes men go through trials in order that He might purge the believers and blot out those who deny the Truth. 141 Did you think that you could go to Paradise before God knew which of you fought for His cause and which of you bore patience? 142 And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. 143
