O you who believe! do not devour usury, making it double and redouble, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, that you may be successful. 130 And have fear of the Fire which awaits those who deny the Truth. 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ And rush towards forgiveness from your Lord, and towards a Paradise that can hold all the heavens and the earth in its width – prepared for the pious. 133 Those who spend [in Allah's Cause - deeds of charity, alms, etc.] in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers). 134 (Paradise) is also for those who, when committing a sin or doing injustice to themselves, remember God and ask Him to forgive their sins. Who can forgive sins besides God? And who do not knowingly persist in their mistakes? 135 their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing through them, where they will abide forever. How excellent will be the reward of those who do good works. 136 Some traditions have been tried before you – therefore travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell those who denied. 137 This is an exposition for mankind, and a guidance, and an admonition for such as are godfearing. 138 And be not infirm, and be not grieving, and you shall have the upper hand if you are believers. 139 If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong. 140 and makes men go through trials in order that He might purge the believers and blot out those who deny the Truth. 141 Do you think that you could enter paradise unless God takes cognizance of your having striven hard [in His cause,] and takes cognizance of your having been patient in adversity? 142 And certainly you desired death before you met it, so indeed you have seen it and you look (at it) 143
