Believers, do not consume usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear Allah, in order that you shall prosper. 130 And guard yourselves against the fire which has been prepared for the unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous,- 133 Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others). 134 And those who when they commit an indecency or do injustice to their souls remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their faults-- and who forgives the faults but Allah, and (who) do not knowingly persist in what they have done. 135 Those! their meed is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens whereunder rivers flow; they shall be abiders therein. Excellent is the hire of the workers! 136 Divers institutions have passed away before you; journey in the land, and behold how was the end of those that cried lies. 137 This is an explanation for mankind, a guidance and an advice to the pious. 138 Faint not, neither sorrow; you shall be the upper ones if you are believers. 139 If there hath befallen you a sore, a sore like thereunto hath already befallen that people. These are the haps that We change about among mankind, that Allah may know those who believe and may take martyrs from among you; and Allah loveth not the wrong doers. 140 And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers. 141 Or deemed ye that ye would enter paradise while yet Allah knoweth not those of you who really strive, nor knoweth those (of you) who are steadfast? 142 And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. 143
