O you who believe! do not devour usury, making it double and redouble, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, that you may be successful. 130 And beware of the Fire gotten ready for the infidels. 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another, hastening to forgiveness from your Lord, and to a garden whose breadth is as the heavens and earth, prepared for the godfearing 133 Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good; 134 who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God, and pray forgiveness for their sins -- and who shall forgive sins but God? -- and do not persevere in the things they did and that wittingly. 135 their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing through them, where they will abide forever. How excellent will be the reward of those who do good works. 136 Different traditions existed in the past. Travel in the land and find out about the fate of those who rejected the Truth. 137 This is a plain exposition for men, and a guidance and admonition for the Godfearing. 138 Faint not nor grieve, for ye will overcome them if ye are (indeed) believers. 139 If a wound has afflicted you (at Ohud), a wound like it has also afflicted the (unbelieving) people; and We bring these days to men by turns, and that Allah may know those who believe and take witnesses from among you; and Allah does not love the unjust. 140 test the faith of the believers, and deprive the unbelievers of (His) blessings. 141 Or deemed ye that ye would enter paradise while yet Allah knoweth not those of you who really strive, nor knoweth those (of you) who are steadfast? 142 For, indeed, you did long for death [in God's cause] before you came face to face with it; and now you have seen it with your own eyes! 143
