Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Have you seen the one who calls the religion a lie? 1 Behold, it is this [kind of man] that thrusts the orphan away, 2 and urges not the feeding of the needy. 3 Woe, therefore, unto such performers of prayer. 4 [But] who are heedless of their prayer - 5 to those who make display 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
