Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Have you seen him who denies the Recompense? 1 It is he who turns down the orphans 2 And does not urge (others) to feed the poor. 3 So woe to the praying ones, 4 but are heedless in their Prayers, 5 to those who make display 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
