Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 It is he who turns down the orphans 2 And does not urge to feed the needy. 3 Woe, then, unto those praying ones 4 and are heedless of their prayers, 5 those who want only to be seen and praised, 6 and deny people the articles of common necessity. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
