Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Hast thou seen him who cries lies to the Doom? 1 Who turns away the orphan, 2 And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. 3 So woe to those that pray 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 who show off, 6 And withhold things of common use (from others). 7

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
