Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 Such is the one who repulses the orphans away, 2 And does not induce others to feed the needy. 3 So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites), 4 Who are unmindful of their prayers, 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 And withhold things of common use (from others). 7
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
