Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 For that is the one who drives away the orphan 2 And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. 3 So woe to those that pray 4 whose hearts from their prayer are remote 5 those who want only to be seen and praised, 6 and, withal, deny all assistance [to their fellow-men]! 7
