Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Hast thou seen him who cries lies to the Doom? 1 It is he who turns away the orphan 2 And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. 3 Woe, therefore, unto such performers of prayer. 4 But who are oblivious of their moral duties, 5 who show off (his good deeds) 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
