Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 and feels no urge to feed the needy. 3 Woe, then, unto those praying ones 4 Who are neglectful of their prayers, 5 Who dissimulate 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
