Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), 2 And urgeth not the feeding of the needy. 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 but whose hearts are not in their prayer. 5 Those who make a display (of their deeds). 6 and refuse charity. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
