Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Just look at him, who belies the religion! 1 That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), 2 And does not induce others to feed the needy. 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 Who dissimulate 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
