Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 It is he who turns down the orphans 2 and never encourages the feeding of the destitute. 3 So woe to the praying ones, 4 Those who are neglectful of their prayer. 5 Those who do good deeds only to be seen (of men), 6 Yet refuse small kindnesses! 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
