Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), 2 and feels no urge to feed the needy. 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 Who delay their Salat (prayer) from their stated fixed times, 5 Those who make a display (of their deeds). 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
