Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 That is he who repelleth the orphan, 2 And urgeth not the feeding of the poor, 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 who become confused during their prayers, 5 who show off (his good deeds) 6 And withhold the necessaries of life. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
