HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 So it is he, who pushes away the orphan, 2 And urgeth not the feeding of the needy. 3 Woe to those who pray, 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 Who dissimulate 6 and deny people the articles of common necessity. 7
