Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Beholdest thou him who belieth the Requital? 1 That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), 2 and who does not urge the feeding of the poor? 3 So woe to those who pray 4 whose hearts from their prayer are remote 5 who show off, 6 Who are uncharitable even over very small things. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
