Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
