Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
