Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
