Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
