Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
