Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
