Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
