Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
