Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
