Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
