Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
