Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
