Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5
