Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
