Thorns (Al-Masad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5
