Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
