Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

Almighty Allah's Truth.
