Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5
True are the words of God the Almighty.
