Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
