Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
