Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Perish the hands of AbiLahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
